Juan-Ramón CapellaJuan-Ramón Capella (Barcelona, 1939) has been professor of Philosophy of Law, Morality and Politics in Barcelona, where he tried to renew the field of juridical studies. He studied at the University of Barcelona and the Sorbone (Paris). His teaching career was compromised because of hi political activity against Franco’s dictatorship. He has published texts of a different kinds, such as La práctica de Manuel Sacristán. Una biografía política (2005) or the booklet El aprendizaje del aprendizaje (2009, fifth revised edition), in which he recommends law students attitudes and readings for their lives and studies. He has co-authored, with Miguel Ángel Lorente, El crack del año ocho (2009) and has edited the collective work Las sombras del sistema constitucional español (2003). Amongst the works which are directly related to his field of research are Entrada en la barbarie, (2007); Los ciudadanos siervos (third revised edition 2005); Grandes esperanzas (1996); Elementos de análisis jurídico (2008, fifth edition). His last book is Sin Ítaca. Memorias 1940-1975. Most of his works have been published by Trotta (Madrid).
